Causeway Grill & Raw Bar is our favorite local bar! This is the place to go for karaoke or just to have a couple drinks in town. They have a great bar food menu and they have their own pizzeria next door that makes excellent pizza.
Sara J's
Sara J's Seafood Restaurant is the best local seafood restaurant in Garden City beach. The marsh views are awesome and the fried fish platter is great. If you want a nice smooth cocktail, ask for the saltwater lemonade.
Gulfstream Cafe
If you head south on the Garden City Peninsula, you'll find the Gulfstream Cafe. Call ahead and make a reservation if you'd like to dine on their outdoor deck while watching the sunset over the marsh.
Drippy's Ice Cream
Nothing is better on a hot summer day than taking a drive over to Drippy's and grabbing a cone! They're located on Atlantic Ave. and Business 17 on the corner of Calhoun dr. They're also adding a location on the new Surfside pier!

The inlet crab house is a locals favorite! If you love low country steam pots filled with local oysters, clams, mussels and crab legs, this is the place for you! Located up the road from the Marsh Walk, the inlet crab house will not disappoint!

Crabby Mike's seafood buffet is by far our favorite seafood buffet! Unlimited crab legs are the main attraction but don’t miss out on all the other great dishes they offer.

Gracious Pig, the newest addition to the Surfside Beach restaurant line up is a place you have to try if you're into great barbecue! Southerners take their barbecue seriously and nobody know this better than the people at Gracious pig. They offer a couple different styles of BBQ including North Carolina style and of course, South Carolina style!
Pizza Hyena
Pizza Hyena is a great pizzeria! They have many unique personal pizza's, many with well thought of, tongue in cheek, names. You can find Pizza Hyena right in front of the new pier in Surfside Beach.
Things To Do
Express Watersports
A couple of miles away is the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk with a ton of water centered activities in the daytime. Kayaking, jet ski rentals, fishing charters and parasailing are just a few.
Brookgreen Gardens
Brookgreen Gardens is the floral jewel of South Carolina's coast. They often have many events going on throughout the year but none is as spectacular the Night of a thousand candles. To find out what they have going on during your stay, please visit their website.
Broadway At The Beach
Broadway at the beach is fun for the whole family! Stores, restaurants (Margaritaville, Señor Frogs, Fat Tuesdays, Hard Rock Cafe), bars (Crocodile Rocks, is a must see), zip lining, aquarium and comedy club are just a couple of the many things to do here.
Grand Prix Racing
Broadway Grand Prix is fun for all ages! There are a lot of tracks to drive around. We recommend checking Groupon for ticket offers and if you go in the morning when they open, you’ll most likely be able to beat the crowds.
Helicopter Adventures
We haven’t worked up the courage to do this (yet), but if you’re brave enough, you’ll find the helipad near the Grand Prix track. Rides start off at $20 per person.

Garden City Pavilion Arcade & GiGi's Grill is the place to play some arcade games or grab a burger. This is a must go to for families coming to Garden City Beach.
Garden City Pier
You can’t go home until you’ve spent some time at the pier. There’s an arcade for the kids, Italian ices on the pier, a bar at the end of the pier that often has live music during the warm months and a bar at the beginning of the pier that serves breakfast in the summer. Fishing off the pier is also a favorite of a lot of visitors.
